We keep on growing

We would like to take a few minutes to share a brief summary of 2025. First, we would like to thank you for continuing to be there. None of this would be possible without our large family that continues to grow… new communities that welcome us, new participants in our workshops who learn and contribute in equal measure, new collaborators who enrich the project, partners and organisations that give us their support, and all of you who follow our work with affection and commitment.

The three Oasis Campus that have taken place this year have welcomed 52 people from different parts of the world.

In M’Hamid, our most established Oasis Campus, this time, in addition to the restoration work, we had a very special activity: the women of the Zaouia craftswomen’s cooperative opened the doors of their workshop to us and very generously shared with us much more than their craftsmanship and know-how.

At the second Oasis Campus, in Inzerki, we experienced total immersion, as we were able to stay in the homes of the local inhabitants.

The third was held in Ich, another place that we already feel deeply connected to and where we continue to make progress in a process of recovery and training that grows year after year.

Throughout 2025, Terrachidia has also been involved in other important projects, working alongside institutions such as AECID, with the Universal Accessibility Guide for the Medina of Tetouan, a collective and necessary work that opens up new ways of thinking about heritage from the perspective of inclusion and rights.

We have also participated in the exhibition ‘Architecture is Cooperation’, a collective exhibition held at the Casa de la Arquitectura, which has highlighted experiences where architecture is understood as a social and collaborative practice.

Thanks to the support of the COAC, we have been able to expand and improve the quality and impact of our workshops. With INTBAU and its Grassroots grants, we have been able to award grants to several participants, enabling more people to join this shared learning experience. As part of this drive, we have also launched Ttalks, opening our YouTube channel to professionals who have talked to us about architecture, heritage and sustainability, and who have allowed us to glimpse very different realities from many parts of the world.
This year we have also received recognition from Ammodo “Local Scale”, which has rewarded our commitment to the development of the M’Hamid oasis through the restoration of heritage and the promotion of traditional crafts. We have now been on this journey for 14 years… And there is more to come!

In complex times, we continue to believe that peace and care – between people, communities and territories – are the foundation of any possible dignified future.

For a peaceful 2026.
